Captured Chapter OneMay walked into the shop, the bell above her head tinkling and an aroma of burning bread in the air. Why hadn’t Mr. and Mrs. Pinkling taken out the bread? Suddenly a gag was in her mouth and her hands were tied behind her back, and she was stuffed in a sack. She tried to scream but all she got was a mouth-full of handkerchief. Light Chapter OneLight growled while turning in a circle, a gash on her wolf nose. “You don’t stand a chance!” The shadow snickered, coming forward with its fury blades. Seeing an opening, Light pounced at its chest, making a gaping wound that spilled blood. Light tore apart the shadow’s limp form, searching for its soul. When she found it, she held it in her mouth and ran to the den. The shadow soul pile was growing bigger. Dark trotted over and ran his muzzle down Light’s flank, then began licking her wound. “We’ll be eating well tonight, concerning how big the pile is.” Light nodded.
